Paul noted that the bill involves the allocation of $300 million to protect the borders of Ukraine, while the authorities completely ignore the situation on the southern borders of the United States.
“This bill is not only wrong, it is a direct insult to every American, especially at a time when our borders remain unprotected,” the statement said.
According to the politician, the American authorities are doing nothing to solve this problem, but are only offering “fake reforms.”
Earlier, a bill to allocate assistance to Ukraine and Israel without funds for border protection passed a procedural vote in the US Senate.
