Only two weeks left before the opening of the 60th International Agricultural Show which will once again be held at the Porte de Versailles in Paris from February 24 to March 2. An event placed under the sign of "transmission" and "national pride", in a context of an agricultural crisis which has just subsided.

After two weeks of road blockages and sometimes tumultuous actions by farmers, the Agricultural Show is preparing to open its doors from Saturday February 24 to Saturday March 2. A week dedicated to “transmission” and “national pride”. For this edition, more than 600,000 visitors are expected at the Porte de Versailles in Paris.

More than 100 official visits announced

Like every year, a cow will honor a territory, a product and a professional. Its muse will be Oreillette, a Norman cow, perfect ambassador of its region, with a calm temperament, aged five and who has already had three calves.

And like every year, the show will receive visits from many political figures, more than 100 official visits are announced. The Head of State will also make his traditional visit to the Porte de Versailles, the date of which is not yet known.

An edition between retrospective and prospective

The celebrations of the 60th edition will combine retrospectives for 9 days, with a large number of commemorative events on the show and off-site (including a large photography exhibition), festive events around the various pavilions and aisles, and prospective through multiple presentations of how the agriculture of tomorrow is being prepared today.

Innovation will obviously occupy pride of place, illustrating how technological advances can support agricultural practices that respect the environment and serve consumers. Demonstrations of new agritech approaches and solutions as well as agroecological practices will highlight, for example, the importance of combining tradition and innovation to meet current challenges.

More than 1,100 exhibitors

More than 1,100 exhibitors from five continents are expected for the 2024 edition and will be spread across four pavilions. To discover the program, the list of exhibitors, the show plan or to get your tickets, go to the salon-agriculture.com website.
