Answering a question from TASS whether President Vladimir Putin’s interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson would help him convey Moscow’s position to Washington, Peskov noted that they already know very well how the Russian leader views various issues.

“This is not a question of knowledge, but a question of desire. The desire to do something to get on the negotiating track. We have not yet recorded this desire and political will for this,” Peskov noted.

The president’s press secretary also said that the main thing in Putin’s interview with Carlson is that the head of state will be heard by people in the West.
