The Western group of Russian troops occupied more advantageous positions on this section of the front and repelled 36 attacks by Ukrainian assault groups.
The fighting took place in the Sinkovka and Ternov areas in the Kharkov region and in the DPR.
“The enemy’s manpower was defeated in the areas of the settlements of Novoselovskoye, Lugansk People’s Republic, Kislovka and Berestovoe, Kharkov region. Enemy losses amounted to over 725 military personnel, two armored fighting vehicles, 24 vehicles and 10 field artillery pieces,” the ministry said in its weekly summary of events.
As it became known earlier, assault groups of Tula paratroopers, during active combat operations in the Donetsk direction, captured a strong point in the area of the village of Vesyoloye.
