Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian (French)

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian said during a visit to Lebanon - today, Saturday - that a political solution is the only way to end the conflict in Gaza, and that Tehran is holding talks with Riyadh on the issue.

He added that what was proposed by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) is part of a rationale to reach a political solution and stop the genocide in Gaza.

Abdullahian stressed that the end of the war in Gaza means the end of the work of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his government, warning that Netanyahu seeks to take the White House hostage in order to remain in power for as long as possible in Israel.

He stressed that the victors in the war on Gaza are the resistance and the Palestinian people, and the defeated is Netanyahu, adding, "Despite the destruction and killing that we are witnessing in Gaza, the resistance and Hamas worked with all rationality and wisdom."

Abdullahian stressed that the Al-Aqsa Flood operation was a purely Palestinian decision, and that the roots of what happened in Gaza do not go back to what happened on October 7, but rather to more than 75 years of occupation.

Since last October 7, Israel has been waging a devastating war on the Gaza Strip that has left tens of thousands of civilian victims, most of them children and women, in addition to an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe and massive infrastructure destruction, which led to Tel Aviv being brought before the International Court of Justice on charges of “genocide.” ".

Abdullahian also warned against Israel taking any steps towards an all-out war on Lebanon, saying that would be "Netanyahu's last day."

In a related context, the Iranian minister said, “The developments in the Red Sea aim to put pressure on stopping the war on Gaza, but America and Britain took the wrong path and expanded the war.”

In solidarity with Gaza, which is facing a devastating Israeli war with American support, the Houthis targeted, with missiles and drones, Israeli cargo ships or those linked to them in the Red Sea, determined to continue their operations until the end of the war on the Strip.
