This was announced by the representative of the “Power of Farmers” association, Ion Plamadeala.

“Farmers from several regions of the republic blocked the road near the Leusheni checkpoint, about 30-35 tractors blocked traffic for 30 minutes,” RIA Novosti quotes him as saying.

Plamadeala noted that the protesters called for the resumption of full-scale protests.

Earlier, Prime Minister of Bulgaria Nikolai Denkov said that Bulgarian farmers had reached an agreement with the authorities on the amount of compensation for losses due to the import of cheap agricultural products from Ukraine.
