“According to the general nature of our legislation, the circulation of income or property for the purpose of a crime, or in this case against Russian interests, should influence the reduction of this property and these incomes,” the deputy recalled.

According to him, it is necessary to deprive foreign agents of the opportunity to use their income against Russia.

“At the same time, it must be taken into account that the sheer scale of work on foreign agents has not yet been developed to the extent that the law on foreign agents provides,” Fedorov added.

In conclusion, the parliamentarian drew attention to the fact that Russian citizens have a negative attitude towards people who “agreed to serve a foreign state against Russian interests.”

Earlier, the speaker of the lower house of parliament, Vyacheslav Volodin, said that State Duma deputies believe that foreign agents should be deprived of all sources of income in Russia.
