There are many questions about the mental and physical health of US President Joe Biden (agencies)

Yesterday, Friday, the US President's team tried to address the report of special investigator Robert Hoare, which raised questions about President Joe Biden's mental health. The team confirmed that the comments mentioned in the report are “inaccurate” and “inappropriate,” considering that they come from political motives.

These statements sparked strong reactions from Vice President Kamala Harris, who considered that there were political motives behind questioning the president's age and memory.

Harris emphasized that the way the president's behavior was described in the report could not be more wrong, noting that her motives were clear.

Although Biden was acquitted of mishandling classified documents and described him as a “well-intentioned elderly man with a weak memory,” Harris stressed that the comments about his mental health were undoubtedly not accurate or appropriate.

Hoare was appointed Attorney General of the District of Maryland in 2017 under former President Donald Trump, before Merrick Garland, the Minister of Justice in the Biden government, entrusted him with investigating the documents issue.

Discredit Biden

In an attempt to confront the criticism, Biden angrily expressed his rejection of the report of private investigator Robert Hoare, and stressed that his memory is strong and does not suffer from weakness, denouncing the report that accused him of forgetting the date of his son Beau’s death in 2015.

Despite Biden's assertion of the strength of his memory, the White House did not remain silent in the face of the report, as the White House spokesman, Ian Sams, indicated that there was no supporting evidence for the report's accusations, describing the criticism against the president as unjustified and inappropriate.

For his part, Democratic Senator from Pennsylvania, John Fetterman, strongly criticized the efforts to discredit President Joe Biden. This comes at a time when Pennsylvania is decisive in the upcoming elections in November.

In a speech to the people, Biden reiterated that he has no memory problems, expressing his extreme anger at the content of the report, which he described as “contrary and false.”

These statements were resented by a number of Democratic politicians, who considered them a clear attempt to influence public opinion ahead of the upcoming elections.

A home for the elderly

Although President Joe Biden tried to fix things, his quick intervention did not succeed in convincing everyone.

In response to these statements, Democratic Representative Adam Smith expressed his dissatisfaction, saying that this was not the correct approach to dealing with the situation, indicating that the president was angry and that things did not go well.

In another move, Biden committed one of his usual mistakes on Thursday night, when he was asked about the situation in the Gaza Strip. Biden referred to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi as “Mexican President Sisi.”

This mistake gave Trump (77 years old) an opportunity to attack Biden's mental and physical abilities again. Speaking at a gun lobby gathering in Pennsylvania on Friday evening, Trump said sarcastically about Biden: “I don't think he realizes he's still alive.”

Trump posted on his social platform, “Truth Social,” a false map of the Middle East bearing the name Mexico instead of Egypt, and wrote below it, “Source: Joe Biden.”

In January, Trump posted a satirical campaign video showing the White House as a nursing home, where residents feel like presidents.

These differences come in light of the ongoing political tensions in the country, which are increasing with the approaching presidential elections.
