According to the diplomat, the special nature of the partnership between Russia and Turkmenistan was fixed in the 2017 agreement and was again confirmed by the declaration on deepening strategic cooperation in 2022.

“The main inspirers and architects of such fruitful interaction at this stage are Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin and Turkmen President Serdar Gurbangulyevich Berdimuhamedov,” the ambassador noted in an article published by the Turkmen agency Orient.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, at a meeting with the heads of the foreign ministries of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Iran and Kazakhstan, said that joint work contributes to ensuring security.
