She also said that Syrsky hates the Ukrainians with whom he sits at headquarters.

On February 8, Vladimir Zelensky announced that Syrsky had been appointed commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov emphasized that the resignation of Valery Zaluzhny from the post of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the appointment of Syrsky to this position will not affect the course of the special military operation.
