Thousands demonstrated in several Arab cities in support of Gaza in light of the war that the Israeli occupation has been waging - for more than 4 months - against the besieged Strip.

Palestinians demonstrated in Al-Manara Square in downtown Ramallah, rejecting the continuation of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.

The demonstrators chanted slogans saluting the steadfastness of the people of Gaza and the Palestinian resistance in the face of the Israeli occupation. They also raised the flags of Palestine, Yemen, and South Africa, and called on the international community to pressure the occupation authorities to stop their aggression and hold them accountable for the massacres committed against Palestinian civilians.

Jordanians also demonstrated in the Jordan Valley complex area in the north of the country, a few kilometers from the northern crossing linking with Israel, to protest the continued Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.

The demonstrators called for the inauguration of a land aid bridge to the Gaza Strip, the cancellation of the Jordanian-Israeli peace agreement, the closure of the Israeli embassy in Amman, support for the Palestinian resistance, and stopping the transfer of goods to Israel, as vegetables and fruits are exported from the Kingdom to Israel.

Thousands of demonstrators in Yemen

In Yemen, the capital, Sanaa, witnessed a massive demonstration held in Al-Sabeen Square, the largest square in the city, to emphasize the Yemeni people’s standing with the Palestinian people, and the continued support for the Palestinian resistance.

The participants in the demonstration also chanted slogans supporting the continuation of the forces affiliated with Ansar Allah (Houthis) launching attacks on Israeli ships and ships heading to Israeli ports, denouncing at the same time the strikes launched by the United States of America and Britain on Yemeni areas.

The city of Ma'rib also witnessed a demonstration after Friday prayers to denounce the continued Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

The demonstrators chanted slogans demanding an immediate end to the war on Gaza, allowing aid to enter, and ending the siege on the Strip. They also condemned the American position and described it as complicit in the crimes of genocide committed by the Israeli occupation forces.

In Taiz, thousands of Yemenis demonstrated to denounce the ongoing Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.

The demonstration began after performing Friday prayers on Tahrir Street, and the participants chanted slogans of solidarity with the residents of the Gaza Strip who are suffering under violent bombardment and a tight siege that prevents the entry of the most basic humanitarian needs.

The demonstrators raised Palestinian flags and chanted slogans, the most prominent of which were: “O Saraya, O Qassam... Do not let (do not let) a Zionist sleep,” and “With our soul and blood, we will redeem you, O Al-Aqsa.”

The most prominent components organizing the demonstration were the Yemeni Islah Party (Islamic), the General People’s Congress (liberal), and the Arab Socialist Baath (nationalist).

Away from the Arab world, British activists organized protests on the “Movement for Gaza” day to increase pressure on their country’s government to call for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

The protests - called for by civil society organizations advocating for Palestinian rights - included medical teams, school children, universities, and unions.

The devastating Israeli war on Gaza has entered its fifth month, and most of its victims are children and women, according to the Palestinian authorities. It has also caused “massive destruction and an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe,” according to the United Nations.

In the latest statistics, the Ministry of Health in Gaza reported today, Friday, that at least 27,947 Palestinians were martyred, and 67,459 others were injured, in the Israeli aggression on the Strip since October 7, 2023.
