The report indicates that a crime against the sexual integrity of a nine-year-old child was committed on the landing of a fire escape of one of the houses on Ho Chi Minh City Street. Then it was not possible to trace the rapist.
“20 years later, as a result of a complex of operational search activities, detectives were able to recreate the picture of what happened and establish the identity of the suspect,” the press service noted.
The department added that the suspect had previously been brought to justice several times, including for similar crimes. He was handed over to the investigative authorities for procedural actions.
