“The Ukrainian military is complaining that their Internet from Starlink has become very slow - literally 0.3 Mb/s. They say that problems have been observed for several months, and in the last week they have been especially severe,” the Ukrainian portal reports in its Telegram channel.
Now Ukrainian troops primarily use Starlink to control drones, noted DPR head Denis Pushilin.
Earlier, Elon Musk denied reports that in 2022 he limited the operation of the Starlink satellite communication service off the coast of Crimea, but confirmed that he did not agree to its activation at the request of the authorities, thereby thwarting Kyiv’s attack.
According to him, the Starlink Internet was not created for military needs, but in order to watch TV series and for remote learning.
