The two boys, ages 13 and 16, arrested this morning for killing their mother in Castro Urdiales called their maternal grandmother to confess what they had done. According to investigation sources, the woman received a call from her grandchildren at 2:15 in the morning today. After the crime, the two brothers went to a park, where the civil guard found them.

The woman was in the garage of her home in the back seat of the car, the same sources tell this newspaper. She had multiple injuries and a garbage bag covering her head. Furthermore, the vehicle in which she was was lodged against the wall of the garage of the family home, located on Monte Cerredo Street.

As EL MUNDO has learned from investigative sources, the two young people were adopted. At first, the hypothesis was considered that it could be a case of gender violence, but this was ruled out when it was learned that the victim's partner was working at the time of the events.

When the woman's body was found, at 9:00 p.m. this Wednesday, the two minors were missing. Agents from the Civil Guard and the Local Police located them around two in the morning in the Cotolino park in the Cantabrian town. The youngest of the victim's children is unimpeachable and is in the hands of the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office.
