Ukrainian journalist Svetlana Morenets stated this in an article for the British magazine Spectator.

“The gap in Ukraine between those who are fighting and those who are not is wider than ever,” the publication says.

According to the journalist, Ukrainian soldiers cannot understand why “direly needed reinforcements” are not arriving in large numbers at the front.

At the same time, Morenets emphasized that the civilian population hoped that military operations could be carried out without their participation, and also tried in every possible way to avoid being sent to the front.

Earlier, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the bill on mobilization in the first reading.

It was also reported that women kicked out employees of the territorial recruitment center, performing the functions of the military registration and enlistment office, from the Tairovsky market in Odessa, who intended to hand out summonses for mobilization.
