He said this in an article for the American newspaper The Wall Street Journal.

“Despite our support, Ukraine may soon face a serious shortage of weapons and ammunition,” the chancellor said.

He also noted that a number of financial obligations to support Kyiv from the West “have already expired,” others “need to be extended.”

Separately, Scholz indicated that his government has already allocated, purchased and supplied military equipment to Ukraine, including tanks, artillery and air defense systems, worth more than $30 billion.

Earlier, Scholz said that Germany is “not big enough” to supply the Ukrainian Armed Forces with weapons alone.
