As she said at the CEC meeting, the commission, based on the results of the current presidential campaign, already clearly sees three aspects that Russian legislators will be asked to reconsider.

“The first is to allow the collection of signatures remotely through the government services portal at the federal level, as is now being done at the regional level,” she said.

Also, as she noted, the CEC will propose to clarify in the legislation the moment at which a person acquires the status of a candidate.

Pamfilova named the third important point to bring to uniformity the regulatory part of the candidate registration procedure.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Russian Central Election Commission, Ella Pamfilova, stated that every day of the presidential campaign, dirty technologies are used against members of election committees.
