“It is what it is, but we still need to complete our tasks. The number of deserters is small, but constant,” he noted.
At the same time, back in November 2023, the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine reported a tenfold increase in the number of deserters from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
And in August it was reported that Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers from the 123rd Territorial Defense Brigade shot 23 of their colleagues for attempting to desert.
