The Ministry of Health in Gaza said on Thursday that at least 27,840 Palestinians were martyred and 67,317 were injured in the Israeli aggression on the Strip since October 7.

The ministry added in a statement that about 130 Palestinians were martyred and 170 others were injured during the past 24 hours.

It stated in the statement that "the Israeli occupation committed 15 massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, resulting in 130 martyrs and 170 injuries."

The Ministry also stated that "there are still a number of victims under the rubble and on the roads, and the occupation is preventing ambulance and civil defense crews from reaching them."

In the same context, the government media office in Gaza announced that the number of journalist martyrs since the start of the war on Gaza had risen to 124.

Reporters Without Borders strongly condemned the Israeli army's elimination of journalism and freedom of access to information in the Gaza Strip.

The organization called on countries and international organizations to increase pressure on Israel to stop this massacre immediately.

"Daily hell"

Reporters Without Borders indicated that journalists live daily hell, in inhumane conditions, as they are forced to move from one place to another, and live in tents and without electricity, with very little food and water, and suffer from a shortage of everything, especially equipment, and no The injured journalists have very limited access to medical care.

Reporters Without Borders once again urged the UN Security Council to immediately implement Resolution 2222 on the protection of journalists, noting that it had submitted two complaints to the International Criminal Court, and made repeated appeals to countries and international organizations in this regard.

Despite calls from Reporters Without Borders to open the Rafah border crossing between Gaza and Egypt, the Israeli authorities continue to prevent journalists in Gaza from leaving, and prevent foreign journalists from entering the Strip.

The Israeli war on Gaza has entered its fifth month, and most of its victims are children and women, according to the Palestinian authorities. It has also caused “massive destruction and an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe,” according to the United Nations.
