ISLAMABAD

- Pakistanis began heading to the polls on Thursday morning to elect members of the National Assembly (Parliament) and members of the country's four regional parliaments.

Polling stations opened their doors at 08:00 local time, to select 266 deputies in Parliament from among 5,121 candidates, and to select 593 deputies in regional parliaments from among 12,695. The centers are expected to close their doors at five in the evening.
