A few days ago, reporters learned from the Hong Kong Association for the Promotion of Culture (Culture Promotion Association) that the "'Arts and Literature: Life Experience Camp' Greater Bay Area Exchange Program" sponsored by the Association had already Launched, the plan organized nearly 400 teachers and students from 6 schools in Hong Kong to go to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area for study and exchange.

  In order to allow Hong Kong students to have an in-depth understanding of the technological development, history, culture and educational environment of the motherland, the Greater Bay Area exchange program has arranged three different study routes, including national education and science popularization base/well-known enterprise study tours, historical and cultural sightseeing tours, and exchanges with the Greater Bay Area Mainland school exchanges. The organizers hope that through this series of activities, Hong Kong students will have close contact with and understand the development of the mainland, sow the seeds of identity and pride in their motherland, and build confidence in their own culture.

  The first leg of the plan is the Shenzhen Lvhang Interstellar Space Technology Research Institute, a national science education base. At the institute, students watched the national aerospace documentary and learned about the development history of the national aerospace industry.

  Liang Xiaowei, vice principal of Hu Shaoqu Memorial Primary School of Shunde Friendship Association, accompanied the students. She believed that the “Shenzhen Aerospace Learning Experience Camp” benefited teachers and students a lot. “The students experienced China’s advanced aerospace technology and the extraordinary training of astronauts, which greatly It enhances students' pride in the Chinese nation and inspires students' curiosity to explore the vast universe and aerospace technology." She believes that students can be inspired to learn the perseverance of astronauts, allowing themselves to break through obstacles and pursue excellence.

  Afterwards, teachers and students visited the "Shenzhen Comprehensive Cell Bank Science Museum" and learned about the structure and function of cells as well as the development history of stem cell therapy under the explanations of professional instructors at the base. Teachers and students also visited the Shenzhen Industrial Exhibition Hall and the Reform and Opening Up Exhibition Hall.

  The Greater Bay Area Exchange Plan also specially arranged three exchange activities between Shenzhen and Hong Kong schools. During the exchange process, students from both places sat together in the classroom, listened to the teacher's explanations, discussed with each other, and shared each other's learning experiences and opinions. Through this exchange, students from both places have a better understanding of each other's learning styles and thinking patterns.

  Regarding this exchange, Teacher Mok from Ta Kwu Ling Ling Ying Public School said that this is not only an opportunity to provide students with academic knowledge, but also a platform to promote interpersonal communication.

  It is reported that starting from October 2023, the Cultural Promotion Association will start organizing the "'Arts and Literature: Life Experience Camp' Greater Bay Area Exchange Program" to fund grassroots students from Hong Kong to go to the Greater Bay Area for exchanges, allowing students to understand the country's history, culture and reality National conditions, cultivating students' patriotism and cultural confidence.
