For the third day in a row, the country was paralyzed. In the capital, Haitians took to the streets to shout their frustration despite the tear gas jets. In some places, burning tires and barricades were erected. In Laboule, a district of the commune of Pétion-Ville, a suburb of Port-au-Prince, five agents of the Protected Areas Brigade, prohibited by the government from circulating in cities in uniform, were killed in exchanges of fire with the national police, reports Le Nouvelliste. Three other agents were arrested and weapons and ammunition confiscated.

In the regions, Haitians are not taking off either. People including journalists were injured by bullets. Attacks were carried out against police stations in the communes of Gros Morne and Ouanaminthe where institutions were vandalized and set on fire. Demonstrations also took place in Hinche and Les Cayes. The situation remains tense as the country plunges into uncertainty.
