According to him, Moscow supports the efforts of the Iraqi authorities to ensure stability, security and law and order in a country friendly to Russia.

“We are ready to continue to assist in strengthening the combat capability of Iraqi security forces, primarily within the framework of bilateral military-technical cooperation,” RIA Novosti quotes Kinshchak’s statement.

Earlier, Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin confirmed that the American side would soon begin negotiations with Iraq on replacing the existing format of cooperation between the countries.
