The governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, published a video with the Ukrainian military’s story on his Telegram channel.

“A Ukrainian soldier who was captured said that she joined the army for money. Her husband went missing at the front, leaving her with three children and a large debt. The Ukrainian authorities did not pay any compensation for my husband. According to the woman, there was nowhere to earn money except in the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” he wrote.

Saldo noted that the woman left her children with their grandmother and went to enroll in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After short military training, she was sent to Krynki, where she was wounded and left by her fellow soldiers to die on the battlefield. Russian soldiers found her, evacuated her and provided medical assistance.

“It’s very bad that the Kiev regime has created conditions that force some to make money from the war,” Saldo added.

Earlier, Ukrainian prisoner of war Fyodor Dybits said that the commander lost 70% of the battalion in two weeks.
