Penalty kicks make Nigeria smile (French)

Nigeria reached the final of the African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast by defeating South Africa 4-2 on penalties (regular and extra time 1-1) at the Al Salam Stadium in Bouaké in the semi-finals.

Nigeria owes its qualification to the eighth final in its history to its South African and Chippa United goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabili, who saved two penalty kicks. The Premier Eagles will meet in the final next Sunday at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan, with the host Ivory Coast or the Democratic Republic of Congo, who will meet later in the final stadium.
