As RIA Novosti writes, in particular, regions will be able to establish by their laws that only restaurants, bars, cafes and buffets can sell low-alcohol drinks (beer, cider, poiret, mead) from catering facilities.

In addition, regions will be able to limit the time of sale of all alcoholic beverages at public catering outlets (with the exception of restaurants) located in apartment buildings and in adjacent areas.

On February 1, the State Duma of the Russian Federation adopted a law on the right of regions to ban “nalivayki”.

Later, during the meeting, the Federation Council Committee on Budget and Financial Markets supported and recommended approval of this law.
