The portal notes that “Russian propagandists strongly supported” Carlson’s desire to interview Russian President Vladimir Putin.
In particular, writes the online publication, editor-in-chief of RT and MIA Rossiya Segodnya Margarita Simonyan “has already approached the Kremlin with a request to organize this trip,” and TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov “even offered to employ Carlson on his Solovyov LIVE channel.”
“Simonyan understood that Carlson’s conversation with Putin ... would be a real gift for Russian propaganda - much greater than even the pro-Russian, anti-Ukrainian and almost anti-American position of the journalist, which he demonstrated for many years,” the report says.
It was previously reported that Carlson’s video on platform X, in which he announces an interview with Putin, received more than 81 million views in one day.
