On February 3, the Jielong 3 carrier rocket was ignited and lifted off from the sea near Yangjiang, Guangdong, successfully sending 9 satellites into the predetermined orbit in the form of "carpooling", one of which was the "Xunming Home-1" satellite.
The satellite was jointly developed by Land and Sea Space (Yantai) Information Technology Co., Ltd. and Shenzhen Aerospace Dongfanghonghaite Satellite Co., Ltd. According to a representative of the development team, "Xunming Hometown No. 1" has a resolution of 0.5 meters and a width of 12 kilometers. It has the characteristics of light weight, high resolution, and excellent imaging quality.
A representative of the development team said that the satellite is equipped with an intelligent processing terminal, which can realize target detection, identification and extraction functions in orbit, and can extract and slice information from the identified targets. At the same time, the satellite has the function of on-orbit real-time generation of standard images of regions of interest (ROI), which can effectively improve the speed and efficiency of users in obtaining standard images.
The name "Xunming Hometown No. 1" comes from tea culture. Li Hong, who has long been committed to the research and development of Fuding white tea culture, said that naming the satellite after tea aims to respect and inherit traditional culture. He hopes that the valuable scientific data obtained by the satellite will provide new perspectives and ideas for the scientific research of white tea.
