According to the senator, American television journalist Tucker Carlson is breaking through the anti-Russian information blockade.

“The popular TV journalist was not afraid of anyone and came to Moscow in order to understand for himself the most complex international processes of our time. Commendable!” — notes Kovitidi.

The journalist filmed an appeal in which he emphasized that “the American public is practically unaware of the real situation in Russia and its relations with its neighbors, as well as about Russia’s domestic and foreign policies.”

“The desire to understand the true state of things deserves our attention, and it is especially valuable that it comes from an American journalist. I am sure that Tucker Carlson’s stay in Russia will cause a wide public outcry both in Russia and in the United States,” the senator emphasizes.

Also, according to Covitidi, Carlson does not hide the fact that he does not support the White House policy of severing all relations with Russia.

“For these statements alone, I want to shake the hand of the American journalist and express words of support to our Crimeans, who managed to invite Mr. Carlson to the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Crimean Spring,” added RT’s interlocutor.

Earlier, Carlson confirmed that he arrived in Russia to interview President Vladimir Putin.
