Who is Rashida Tlaib?

Rashida Tlaib is an American of Palestinian origin. She was born in 1976 in the United States. She is the eldest of 13 sisters. Her immigrant father worked in Ford car factories in Detroit, Michigan.

Rashida’s father was born in the town of Beit Hanina, east of Jerusalem, and lived for a period in Nicaragua before coming to Michigan, while her mother comes from the village of “Beit Ur Al-Fuqa” in the Ramallah Governorate in the West Bank.
