IKEA has extended its trademark registration with Rospatent until 2033

According to RIA Novosti, in the summer of 2023, IKEA Systems BV (Netherlands) submitted four applications.

At the beginning of February, Rospatent registered the IKEA trademark under one of the applications with the expiration date of the exclusive right on August 1, 2033.

Earlier it became known that the Interregional Inspectorate of the Federal Tax Service for the largest taxpayers No. 1 filed a claim against IKEA Torg LLC for 12.9 billion rubles. The essence of the Federal Tax Service's claim is not clear.

Last June, the former IKEA plant in the Novgorod region resumed operations under the Extrovert brand.

Production at the former IKEA factory in Tikhvin, Leningrad region, was also restarted under the new brand “Luzales-Tikhvin”.
