Sentenced in 2022 to four months in prison for domestic violence, LFI deputy Adrien Quatennens returned to the facts on Wednesday. He particularly regretted having "one day raised his hand", as well as "certain words" in his defense. 

The deputy for La France insoumise Adrien Quatennens assured this Wednesday that he "regretted" having placed himself as a victim just after his conviction for domestic violence in December 2022, estimating during this first media intervention in the form of a mea culpa that "everyone can 'improve".

“What I regret is having one day raised my hand, yes,” declared on France 2 the MP sentenced to four months in prison by the Lille criminal court in a guilty plea procedure. . “What I also regret is having misunderstood at the time that certain words in my defense were poorly chosen. Today, I would not say them again,” he added. 

Excluded from LFI for four months

In a long television interview, the man Jean-Luc Mélenchon considers his heir denounced the day after his conviction a "media lynching", also criticizing his ex-wife and her "threats". “I have paid quite dearly on all counts.
