The ambassador stated this in a conversation with RIA Novosti.

“We perceive Helsinki’s decision to close the border as another step in a long chain of actions by the Finnish authorities aimed at completely breaking relations with Russia,” Kuznetsov said.

He emphasized that Finland does not take into account the rights and interests of both Finnish citizens and Russians.

The ambassador added that Moscow expects that the possible opening of borders will contribute to dialogue between the two countries.

On January 11, the Finnish Ministry of Internal Affairs announced the decision to keep the borders with Russia closed until February 11.
