Al Jazeera showed new exclusive scenes of a sniper operation carried out by the Al-Qassam Brigades - the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) - against an Israeli officer, during the fierce battles in the Al-Jami'a area, west of Gaza City.

The scenes showed the moments of monitoring by Al-Qassam fighters, before the Israeli officer was sniped and fell to the ground, amid chants of takbir.

According to the viewer, the sniping operation was carried out with the Al-Ghoul Qassam rifle - which was given this name after its developer, the martyr Adnan Al-Ghoul - and its lethal range reaches 2,000 metres.

At the beginning of this month, Al-Qassam broadcasted scenes showing the moment an Israeli officer was sniped during the Gaza battles, fell to the ground and the rest of the soldiers fled.

During the Battle of Al-Aqsa Flood, the Al-Qassam Brigades continued to document their operations against the occupation army. Such as targeting soldiers, tanks and military vehicles with anti-personnel shells, armor and fortifications, ambushes, sniper operations and booby-trapping tunnels in areas where the occupation has penetrated.
