Social media platform pioneers celebrated a “historic” ruling by the British Labor Court, in which it acknowledged that British academic David Miller was subjected to discrimination after his university dismissed him because of his views opposing Israel.

Miller accused the University of Bristol of expelling him in 2021 based on a discriminatory decision based on his anti-Zionist beliefs and his criticism of Israel.

Miller's legal representative announced that the Labor Court's ruling, which was issued on Monday, recognized the validity of Miller's position, stressing that the university dismissed him unjustly, and that his views on Zionism are protected under the country's equality law.

VICTORY AT THE EMPLOYMENT TRIBUNAL

The Employment Tribunal has released its judgment in my landmark legal case against @BristolUni, concluding that I was wrongfully dismissed in October 2021 and discriminated against because of my anti-Zionist beliefs. This is not just a victory… pic.twitter.com/h4gV1aIoTj

Miller celebrated the ruling through his account on

“This is a landmark case and represents a pivotal moment in our country’s history for those who believe in supporting the rights of Palestinians,” said attorney Zilor Rahman, who represented Miller. “The timing of this ruling will be welcomed by many who face persecution in their workplaces, right now, for speaking out against the crimes of the Israeli state.” ".

This is wonderful news and a significant reversal for the Israeli apologists who weaponise anti-Semitism to stifle criticism of the barbaric Zionist entity. https://t.co/u9QblYvLiv

Former parliamentarian Chris Williams wrote, "This is a major retreat for Israel's supporters who use anti-Semitism as a weapon to stifle criticism of the barbaric Zionist entity."

Journalist Frank MacDonald described this ruling as a major defeat for the Israeli lobby, which launched a fierce campaign against him and caused his dismissal. It will also set a precedent for those who are being targeted in the same way.

What an amazing victory for @Tracking_Power and for the wider Palestinian cause. Zionism is a racist ideology and this belief has the right to be protected. A real privilege to work on this with the brilliant Zac Sammour from @11KBW. Long Live Palestine, Long Live Gaza. 🇵🇸 ✌🏽 https://t.co/qWxntuLI7i

Bloggers emphasized that the importance of the ruling in favor of this British academic also lies in its timing, as it coincides with the attempt of Israel and the movements supporting it to silence the voices of academics and prevent them from speaking about their crimes.

This vindication of Prof David Miller, who was dismissed by Bristol University in 2021 for his anti-Zionist views, is a huge defeat for the Israel lobby in Britain, which waged a vicious campaign against him, and will set a precedent for others being similarly targeted… https://t.co/x8Ot7aSMVr

Prof David Miller, who was sacked by Bristol University for being an anti-Zionist, and despite two barrister reports exonerating him of claims made by Zionist students, wins a landmark employment tribunal case.
