“To President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament... on behalf of the political party “Amanat” proposed the candidacy of Olzhas Bektenov for the post of Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan,” says a message on the website of the country’s president.
In accordance with local legislation, Tokayev will discuss Bektenov’s candidacy with the heads of the Mazhilis factions.
Earlier, the President of Kazakhstan accepted the resignation of the government of the republic.
On January 9, 34-year-old Gabriel Attal, who previously worked as the Minister of Education, was appointed Prime Minister of France.
