“Swedish authorities have apparently been unable to find a specific suspect in their country,” the Süddeutsche Zeitung reported, citing its own sources and the results of the investigation by NDR, WDR and Zeit.

Journalists found out that Swedish prosecutor Mats Ljungqvist will soon announce the completion of the investigation into the emergency.

Earlier, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, announced Sweden’s attempts to avoid fines for air emissions due to sabotage on the Nord Stream pipeline.

Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov emphasized that the explosion at Nord Stream cannot be left without identifying those involved, since this is sabotage against critical international infrastructure.
