Highlights: The pace of implementation of important Russian technologies is insufficient, says the Russian Security Council. The council is discussing issues of national security in the Ural Federal District. The meeting will take place in the city of Kurgan, in the Russian part of the country, on Thursday, February 14. The session is open to the public, and will be followed by a press conference on Friday, February 15, at 11:30 a.m. local time (2:30pm GMT) in Kurgan.
Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev stated that the pace of implementation of critical Russian technologies and products is currently insufficient.
Patrushev made a corresponding statement at a meeting in Kurgan on current issues of national security in the Ural Federal District.
“The pace of implementation of critical domestic technologies and products remains insufficient,” he noted.
According to him, companies in Russia still continue to concentrate on the purchase of ready-made foreign goods, using the parallel import mechanism.
Earlier, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin spoke about how import substitution is being developed in the capital.
