Hundreds of Israeli demonstrators obstructed the movement of trucks loaded with goods heading to the Gaza Strip at the Kerem Shalom crossing, despite the place being declared a closed military zone by the Israeli army.

Israeli Channel 12 said that settlers are obstructing the entry of 132 humanitarian aid trucks from the Kerem Shalom crossing into the Gaza Strip.

For days, Israeli protesters close to the Israeli Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, have closed the Kerem Shalom crossing, to prevent trucks loaded with humanitarian aid from entering the Gaza Strip until the Israeli prisoners held by the Palestinian resistance are released.

Late last month, the Israeli occupation army declared the Kerem Shalom crossing a closed military zone, with Israeli demonstrations taking place near the crossing and preventing trucks loaded with humanitarian aid from entering the Gaza Strip.

The day before yesterday, Sunday, the Palestine Red Crescent Society announced the entry of 9,831 humanitarian aid trucks into the Gaza Strip through the Rafah land crossings, connecting with Egypt, and Karam Abu Salem, which connects with Israel, in the south of the Strip, from last October 21 until February 1 of this month.

Israel imposed a stifling embargo on the Gaza Strip, including preventing the entry of fuel, food and medicine, which exacerbated the humanitarian situation in light of the ongoing Israeli war since October 7.

Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli army has been waging a devastating war on Gaza, which as of today, Tuesday, has left 27,585 martyrs and 66,978 injured - most of them children and women - according to the Palestinian authorities, and has caused massive destruction and an unprecedented humanitarian disaster, according to the United Nations.
