The deputy said that advertising in cinemas, which suffered due to the departure of Western companies from the Russian market, provides institutions with additional income.

“Therefore, in my opinion, objectively, there is no need to introduce additional loads for them,” Bessarab believes.

At the same time, the parliamentarian agreed that advertising inserts before watching a film in a cinema may cause dissatisfaction.

“As for wasting time, yes, this always causes certain difficulties and irritation among those who came to watch a movie but are forced to watch advertising. And at the same time, everyone has long known that approximately 10-15 minutes at the beginning of the session can be allocated to advertising views,” concluded RT’s interlocutor.

Earlier, Anton Orlov, director of the Institute for the Study of Contemporary Politics, proposed obliging cinemas to inform customers about the start time of the actual screening of the film after advertising materials.
