The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the suppression of another attempt by the Kyiv regime to stage a terrorist attack using aircraft-type drones.

“Duty air defense systems intercepted all Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles over the territory of the Belgorod region,” the department’s press service said.

Meanwhile, the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, said that the city of Gubkin was attacked by a Ukrainian UAV. He clarified that as a result of the fall of the device followed by detonation, no casualties were recorded.

“Various damage was detected on the territory of four private residential buildings: windows were broken, roofs, facades and fences were cut,” he wrote on the Telegram channel.

According to Gladkov, the patrol of the territory will continue during daylight hours.

The Kiev regime is systematically attempting to strike Russian territory. In particular, seven more UAVs were intercepted in one night on February 3. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, four aircraft were shot down over the Belgorod region, two over the Volgograd region and one over the Rostov region.

The head of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Sergei Shoigu, during a conference call on February 2, noted that the combat potential of the troops of the Kyiv regime is steadily declining. Thus, as a result of complex fire from Russian military personnel in January, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost over 23 thousand people killed and wounded, as well as more than 3 thousand units of various weapons, including German Leopard tanks, American Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, Patriot and HIMARS launchers .

In addition, over the past month, 127 strikes with precision weapons were carried out on military infrastructure and facilities of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine. Enterprises for the production, modernization and repair of weapons, arsenals, military airfields, fuel depots, and deployment points for units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and foreign mercenaries were hit.

As Shoigu noted, after the failure of the enemy’s counteroffensive, the Russian Armed Forces retain the strategic initiative along the entire line of combat contact. Russian units, the minister said, are moving forward, expanding zones of control and improving their position at the front line, continuing to solve their assigned tasks.

Meanwhile, Shoigu noted, the Zelensky regime continues terrorist attacks against Russian civilians to demonstrate to Western curators “at least some success.”

Strike on Lisichansk

On February 3, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a missile strike on the city of Lisichansk located in the Lugansk People's Republic, hitting the building of a local bakery and a nearby cafe, in which local residents were present at that time. As a result, 28 people died, including one child.

Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov called the incident a monstrous terrorist act.

The Russian Foreign Ministry stated that the strike was allegedly carried out using Western weapons. “The new terrorist attack is a “gratitude” from Kyiv extremists for the “generous” financial support of the European Union countries,” said department official Maria Zakharova.

The diplomat called what happened in Lisichansk another proof of the criminal nature of the Kyiv regime. She also recalled the statement of Vladimir Putin, who earlier stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had finally turned into a terrorist organization.
