The

Generalitat Firefighters

have evacuated two buildings at number 9

Canigó Street in Badalona (Barcelona)

after the collapse of the floor of a five-story building, in which the people trapped are unknown.

The buildings evacuated preventively, one of which has suffered a crack, are numbers 7 and 11, and are those adjacent to the building that has seen its floor collapse, sources from the firefighters have informed Europa Press.

The Bombers have sent 13 crews to the site, among which are units from the Collapsed Structures Group (Grec), the Operational Support Group (Gros) and the canine unit.

For its part, the

Sistema d'Emergències Mèdiques (SEM)

has sent five units and its team of psychologists, as indicated in a note in 'X' collected by Europa Press,

Civil Protection of the Generalitat has activated the Procicat pre-alert as a result of the incident, reported in 'X'.
