The new Minister of Culture Rachida Dati was the guest of La Grande interview Europe 1-CNews. At the microphone of Sonia Mabrouk, the mayor of the 7th arrondissement of Paris spoke about the importance of culture and her desire not to give in to woke ideology. “I will not be alongside the censors,” she assures.

The nomination surprised more than one. During the presentation of the new government, the mayor of the 7th arrondissement of Paris, Rachida Dati was appointed to the Ministry of Culture. An important ministry for the former Republican figure, who wishes to redirect culture towards the greatest number. 

“What connects us to each other? It’s culture, it’s the strength of this French culture,” she explains to Sonia Mabrouk this Tuesday morning. “It is not in itself a question of building a popular culture, but more of being able to provide access to as many people as possible to this French culture which is diverse with its literature, its cinema, its museums, its heritage, its music,” continues the new minister.
