China News Service, Hong Kong, February 5th. The "Tree of Life - Lin Minggang Oil Painting Exhibition" organized by Jiguzhai in collaboration with Artist Magazine, Xiling Academy and Jiguzhai Auction (China) Co., Ltd. was held on February 5 at Hong Kong opens.

  This exhibition presents nearly 30 excellent oil paintings about trees by the famous French oil painter Lin Minggang, with the theme of "Tree of Life". Each painting is the author's experience of immersing himself in nature and observing the growth contours and traces of trees, conveying Thoughts on life and nature.

  At the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Jin Yaoji, a famous sociologist, educator, calligrapher, member of the Xiling Seal Society, and former president of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, said in his speech that he had known Lin Minggang for many years, and when he saw his oil paintings for the first time, he was deeply moved. His painting skills are exquisite and he is quite elegant. Jin Yaoji also recalled seeing Lin Minggang’s series of Chinese ink paintings of ancient cypresses in 2019, and was deeply moved by the vigor, uprightness, solemnity and tranquility of the trees.

  Wu Zhihua, director of the Hong Kong Palace Museum, said in his speech that he has been engaged in art work for many years and found that Chinese artists can also express Western oil paintings very well. He praised Lam Ming-kung for his suggestions and suggestions in promoting the development of art in Hong Kong, which were of great help to him.

  In his speech, Lin Minggang thanked his predecessors and painting friends for participating in the exhibition. He said that he recalled that his relationship with trees dates back to his youth. After that, he studied painting under a teacher and studied in France. He never stopped paying attention to the plot of nature, his feelings for trees, and his concern for ecology. He said that talking to nature can generate a lot of resonance, and he hopes to express his inner feelings with a brush.
