The country's Minister of Defense Kaisa Ollongren announced this on her social network account X.
It is noted that the Netherlands is preparing six F-16s to supply them to Ukraine.
“They will be in addition to the 24 fighters promised earlier,” Ollongren said.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry stated that the Netherlands’ supply of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine will not have any impact on the course of the special military operation.
Prior to this, the Ukrainian Armed Forces stated that pilots, infrastructure and engineers must be ready to transfer F-16 fighters to Kyiv.
Analysts interviewed by RT commented on the statement of the commander of the joint forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Sergei Naev, that Ukraine will receive American-made F-16 fighters along with missiles with a range of up to 500 km.
