Katy Perry, former head of the Israeli Prison Service, revealed in a statement to Israeli Channel 12 that the head of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in the Gaza Strip, Yahya Sinwar, translated two books by two former heads of the Internal Security Agency (Shin Bet).

This concerns one book by Jacob Perry, entitled “The One Who is Coming to Kill You,” and the second book by Karmi Gilon, entitled “The Shin Bet Between the Divisions,” and it revolves around the division in Israeli society.

In front of the cell where Al-Sanwar was being held, Perry said that during one of the surprise searches, a book was found in Al-Sanwar’s possession, believed to be in his handwriting. The number of pages in the book ranged between 500 and 600 pages, confirming that he wanted to translate it for the security prisoners.

The former Israeli official spoke about Sinwar's personality, saying, "It was quite clear that he was a type of calm and decisive leader," and that he "reads the strategy of the Shin Bet leaders" within the rule of "know your enemy."

In another context, Perry previously called for the return of Israeli prisoners held by the Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip at all costs to their homes.

Difficult prices Israel will pay

Within the ongoing discussions on Israeli channels regarding the ongoing negotiations regarding the prisoner exchange deal between Israel and the Palestinian resistance, the former head of the Israeli intelligence service (Mossad), Yossi Cohen, said that Israel must pay the price regarding the exchange deal, and added, “At this stage it is difficult to say what the deal is.” "Good and sound because our hand is the bottom."

Cohen, who was speaking on Channel 11, predicted that the deal “will include very difficult prices for the State of Israel.”

For her part, Yaara Shapira, a political affairs correspondent for Channel 11, saw that Israel is not holding a session of the mini-ministerial council, nor is it conveying any message to the Qatari and Egyptian mediators, and is remaining silent “to push Hamas to hesitate and provide its final response.”

She added that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's men are doing everything they can to confront Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, to ensure that they remain in the government, if the exchange deal is implemented.

As for the Minister in the War Council, Gideon Sa’ar, he declared his opposition to any deal with the Palestinians, saying, “If this event is linked to agreeing to the establishment of a Palestinian state, then this is madness in the State of Israel.”

Moria Asraf Walberg, political affairs correspondent for Channel 13, spoke about the tension between Egypt and Israel, stressing that it had reached its peak. She said that she was publishing for the first time that “Israel is studying, in the face of Egypt, the possibility of transferring the Rafah crossing from the border triangle (Israel, Gaza, Egypt) to the area.” Karam Abu Salem, “thus allowing an Egyptian role and not entering into a confrontation with them in this issue.”
