Earlier it was reported that the Mi-8 helicopter of the Ministry of Emergency Situations stopped communicating in Karelia.

Later, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations announced that the wreckage of the missing Mi-8 was found in Lake Onega near the village of Derevyannoye.

An RT source said that divers will soon begin searching for the bodies of the dead.
