The new independent Commission on incest and sexual violence against children (Ciivise) was launched this Monday by Catherine Vautrin, the Minister of Health. It will be made up of 40 members (20 full members and 20 alternates). 

The Minister responsible for Health Catherine Vautrin relaunched Ciivise on Monday, the independent commission against child crime, with a new pair at its head after the ouster of the respected children's judge Edouard Durand, who embodied it. Its new president, Sébastien Boueilh, must unveil Monday morning the axes of his new roadmap, which will extend, beyond incest, to cyberpedocrime, prostitution of minors, disabled people, minor perpetrators .

A Civic composed of 40 members

The Independent Commission on Incest and Sexual Violence Against Children (Ciivise) was launched in March 2021, in the wake of the publication of Camille Kouchner's book, "La Familia Grande", which denounced the incest committed on her brother by the political scientist Olivier Duhamel. For almost three years, this body documented the mechanisms of incest, its destructive lifelong effects on victims and its cost for society, and dissected the dysfunctions of justice.

Sébastien Boueilh will present the 40 members (20 full members and 20 substitutes) of a renewed Ciivise. Among them are experts in child crime, justice, the police, associations and caregivers, according to close sources. "To the slogan addressed to victims by Ciivise 1, +we believe you+, we are going to add +we protect you, we support you+", explained to AFP Sébastien Boueilh, who wants to "set up a network of structures capable of 'to provide psychological and legal support to the victims of today and yesterday'.

A former victim of incest himself, between the ages of 12 and 16, this former rugby player from Landes created an association, Colosse with Feet of Clay, which raises awareness among young athletes and their supervisors, trains professionals and supports them. victims. A pioneer in lifting the silence on sexual violence in sport, it has become a major player in this field, with an annual budget of 2.5 million euros, 45% of which is public funds.
