According to the Georgian Security Service, the explosives were transported in batteries from electric cars.

They planned to deliver the explosives to Russia through the Daryal checkpoint.

Earlier, the Vzglyad newspaper, citing its own correspondent in the Georgian capital, wrote that Georgian special services confiscated 14 kg of explosives, which a Ukrainian citizen was transporting from Odessa to Voronezh.

The explosive cargo detained in Georgia contained six detonators and six special keys.

The transportation was organized by Ukrainian citizen Andrei Sharashidze, who in 2020 ran for the Verkhovna Rada in the Odessa region from Vladimir Zelensky’s Servant of the People party.
