A charity concert featuring musical actors from Ishikawa Prefecture was held in New York, USA, in an effort to support those affected by the Noto Peninsula Earthquake.

The concert was held on the 3rd and was sponsored by the Japanese Lions Club of New York, and approximately 180 people, including Japanese and Japanese Americans living in New York, gathered.

At the concert, Yusui Minami, a musical actor from Ishikawa Prefecture who is active on Broadway, performed songs such as ``Ue o Muite Arukou,'' and the audience listened intently to her carefree singing voice.

There were also drum and shakuhachi performances and dance performances by local children, which drew a big round of applause from the venue.

At the venue, a charity auction and other events were held as well as a call for donations.

A woman who came to the concert thinking of a friend who experienced the recent earthquake said, ``Those of us overseas can only help by making donations, but even though we are far away, we are always thinking about Japan.'' So I hope they can overcome this difficult situation."

Yumi from Ishikawa Prefecture, who performed the song, said, ``It was very frustrating not being able to help on the ground, but I want to continue to support as much as I can with my friends in New York. I would be happy if people could feel that I am thinking of everyone in Noto and Hokuriku.''
